O jornal berlin\u00eas \u00e9 aquele cujo processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o se assemelha ao standard (modelo utilizado at\u00e9 os dias de hoje pelo DS), mas possui formato sensivelmente menor, diferente do tabloide, que tem processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00f3prio e n\u00e3o apresenta dobra central caracter\u00edstica do standard. Esse formato \u00e9 usado em v\u00e1rios di\u00e1rios europeus, incluindo o Le Monde, na Fran\u00e7a, e o La Repubblica, na It\u00e1lia e ao The Guardian, do Reino Unido.
